MINARY: Allison (Al) passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Valleyview Care Centre where he has resided for the last two years. Al was born in Holland, Manitoba to Blanche and Bruce Minary. He grew up with his parents and siblings on the farm in the Nesbitt area. On July 23, 1952, Al married Doreen (née Townsend) and they were blessed with two children, Andrea in 1959 and Scott in 1962. Al farmed in the Nesbitt area until retiring in 1982. He then enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling. Al is survived by his loving wife, Doreen, daughter Andrea (Randy) Markewich and their family Sarah (Neil) Britto and children Annette and Cameron of Phoenix, AZ, Adam (Crystal) Markewich of Brandon, MB and Erik Markewich of Toronto, ON; and son Scott (Diane) and their children Alexa and Karisa of Brandon, MB. Al is also survived by his sister Nadine Hayes of Souris, MB and his sister and brother-in-law Marina and Jim Laking of Barrie, ON. He was predeceased by his parents Blanche and Bruce, brothers Bruce and Wilfred and sister Joy Reid. He was also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Lillian and Raymond Townsend. To honour Al’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his final resting place will be at Minnewawa Cemetery in Nesbitt, MB at a later date.
