VEITCH: Donalda (Donna) Veitch nee Tucker. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna on March 19, 2019, her 90th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Alexander in 2008. Left to carry on her legacy is her four children, Rodney (Phyllis), Cheryl Burton (Hugh), Dennis (Maxine) and Barbara (Dave Goodman). She is also lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren and their spouses, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna grew up on a farm near Margaret, Manitoba. At the age of 17 she accepted a teaching position at Tarbolton, Manitoba. It was there that she met Alex, the boy down the road. They were married October 18, 1947. They would spend the next 58 years farming on Alexs family farm near Bradwardine, Manitoba, among great neighbors and friends. Semi retirement allowed them the time to travel with many of those trips revolving around curling. Mom was always active and enjoyed curling, golfing, gardening and walking. She was also very active in the community and many a bake sale was supplied with her baking. Mom loved her family and family gatherings; nothing made her happier than to be involved in their lives and activities. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Rivers United Church at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Rivers Legion. A private interment will take place at a later date. Flowers graciously declined, a donation can be made to the Riverdale Community Centre in Rivers or to a charity of your choice.Messages of condolencemay be placed atwww.brockiedonovan.com
