WOYTUSZKO: Janette Elizabeth Woytuszko (nee-Heatherington) of Brandon, Manitoba passed away March 30, 2019 after an unexpected illness, at the Assiniboine Centre. Jan was born in Napinka, Manitoba on September 12, 1937 to Mary Jane and Walter Heatherington. She grew up in a small town and was active with outdoor life from her early beginnings. She attended school in Napinka and after leaving her home community, moved to Brandon to work as a nurses aide in the Sanatorium. She later worked for Perths Dry Cleaning and eventually moved on to work at the United cafe. It was while working at the cafe, Jan met Carl, the love of her life, and so they began a long life together as Carl and Jan Woytuszko. Jan and Carl lived their entire married life together in Brandon, Manitoba and were blessed with three daughters. Jans home and garden were her sanctuary. She loved plants and decorating. Whenever she could, she joined Carl outdoors and enjoyed the challenges of fresh water fishing. She had a great fondness for all genres of music but especially gospel, classic country and Elvis. Jans family eventually grew to include grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she adored. Jan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl and their daughters, Kathy (Clare) Bowden, Karen Woytuszko and Lisa Woytuszko. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jan was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary Jane Heatherington, along with their infant twins, Richard Carl and Rose Marie, and her infant grandson, Matthew Vincent Carl Woytuszko. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel.
