McARTHUR: Chuck McArthur passed away March 28, 2019 at Souris Hospital. Chuck was born in Birtle, Manitoba in 1941. He received his grade 12 education in Birtle, and then went onto university of North Dakota where he received his teaching degree. In 1965 he married Linda Peeler of Birtle, Manitoba. In 1966 they moved to Souris where they raised two daughters: Jennifer and Jill. He spent his 30 year teaching career at Souris collegiate. During his career he coached many school sports and hockey. Throughout his life he spent many years playing hockey with the Souris Elks, fast ball with the Souris Comets and playing golf. Once retired many hours were spent on the golf course, many winters spent in Hemet, California and many special times spent with family and close friends. He is survived by wife Linda, daughter Jennifer and husband Cory; daughter Jill husband Ted and children Haley and Kole. Brothers; Jim and Bill McArthur and families. As well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, Souris, Manitoba on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Birtle Cemetery, Birtle, Manitoba on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Chuck donations may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada, 400-151 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 9Z9.
