BLELLOCH: Mark Allen Blelloch of Brandon, Manitoba passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the age of 57 years. Mark was born in Birtle, Manitoba on February 12, 1962 to Robert and Isabel Blelloch. He graduated from Birtle Collegiate and then moved to Virden in 1981 where he was employed by Manitoba Department of Highways. Mark advanced in his career from engineering aid, to project manager and then to audit inspector; he was still employed with Manitoba Infrastructure upon his passing. He was very proud, and rightly so, that he knew everything about dirt, roads, asphalt, culverts and how to talk to the common man or a guy in a suit with a hard hat on, about what was right or wrong on a project, and all with a smile (well, most of the time). He met and made countless friends across the province and could be trusted to give them support, guidance or a chuckle if needed. He was honest, dedicated and earned the respect he was given. Mark was friends to many, no matter their status in life. His daughter Sarah was born in Virden on August 23, 1991. He was a caring, loving Dad who cheered her on from the sidelines in every sport she participated in because he knew how important team sports were to her. He supported her dream of becoming a doctor, and was so proud when she was able to put Dr. in front of her name, only asking for a hug as repayment. He was her biggest fan. He volunteered his time for many curling events in Virden and loved the competitiveness and camaraderie that came with it. If a friend needed help, he was there, no questions asked. In 2009 Mark moved to Brandon to accept a position with MIT as a CSS Grading Audit Inspector. This is where he met Pearle; it was love at first drop of the puck. They were married on June 13, 2010. He quickly became a part of Pearle`s family and extended Miller families. Step dad to Chris and Grandpa to Jaxon, he loved attending Jaxons hockey games and watching how he improved every year. Always ready to give support, advice, a hug, or money for a treat. He loved movies, music and telling stories. Without a doubt Mark was a presence to guide pucks into the net at the 2019 playoffs, so his brother Angus beloved Blues could win the cup, it was a bitter sweet moment for us all. We know he is talking to every NHL player in heaven who will listen, about the NHL draft and stats of the Wheat Kings. His love of hockey at every level and knowledge of players was unmatchable; ask any of his DHL league buddies. Mark was predeceased by his mother Isabel Blelloch; brother Russell Blelloch; step-father Ernie Sudbury; sister-in-law Phyllis Cornelius; brother-in-law Rodney Mushumanski; brother-in-law Lawrence Chastko and sister-in-law Pamela Chastko. Mark will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pearle Dietrich; daughter Dr. Sarah Blelloch (Daniel Stefura); stepson Christopher Miller and grandson Jaxon Miller; father Robert Blelloch; sister-in-law Joyce Blelloch; brother Angus (Kathy) Blelloch and family Kevin (Alaina) Blelloch, Lily, Isabella; Melissa (Mike) Morris, Kaitlyn, Claire; sister Jean (Ron) Barteaux, Brenden, Ashley; mother-in-law Pauline (Dietrich) Sudbury; brother-in-law, Patrick (Mae) Dietrich and family Nolan (Carrie), Drew, Dara; Jan Van den Hurk, Torie, Feana; sister-in-law, Paulette Mushumanski and family Ryan (Michelle Johnson), Ashley (Paul Avila); sister-in-law, Patricia (Earl) Spraggs and family Lindsay (Blair) Neal; brother-in-law, Dale Cornelius and family Hillary (Nigel Stormon), Jordan, Avery (Steven Stack); sister-in-law, Penny (Kevin) Schappert and family Paylyn, Prairie. Love is lifes most beautiful mystery. It often comes as a surprise, filling the heart with sudden joy. Selfless and giving, love places happiness of another before ones own, it inspires with its passion, nurtures with its generosity and enriches with its spirit. There is no limit to its magic. Love is eternal. The celebration of Marks life was held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Memories Chapel in Brandon. Mark was laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Mark may be made to Tim Hortons Childrens Foundation, RR#2, 264 Glen Morris Road East, St. George, ON N0E 1N0. Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com
