MUNROE: Edna Annie Munroe. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on July 25. Edna will be greatly missed by her two daughters and their families Karen and Brian, Lisa (Patrick and Henrik) and Scott, Tracy and Brian, Michael and Amanda. Mom was born in Fox Harbour, N.S. March 28, 1935. In 1971 Brandon became the last stop after many moves across the country. Over the years mom made many good friends along the way and always was one to keep in touch. She enjoyed going for coffee or out for lunch, a movie or play, always a busy social life. Mom was always about giving back and volunteered over the years for many organizations. Mom returned to the work force after the move to Brandon with a few part-time jobs and then found her place at Fairview Nursing home for 23 years, retiring in 1996. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Ednas memory can be made to The Brandon Humane Society website or 204-728-1333. Please visit www.alternacremation.ca for more stories and pictures of mom. There will be a time of Celebration and to share stories at the Don Glen Hall (N. Side, 311 Park Ave. E.) on Wednesday, August 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

We had lost track of Edna over the years, and am sorry to read of her passing. We were good friends at 2 Fighter Wing in the 50's where her and Gary, my wife and I socialized. We had many good times. Edna and my wife were Medical Assistants so they also worked together in the Wing hospital. My sincere condolences. - Posted by: Donald (Friend) on: Feb 01, 2021
