FORSYTH: Dorothy Anne Forsyth (nee Finaly), August 14, 1936 May 31, 2019. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Anne Forsyth. Anne passed away at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon, Manitoba with her girls by her side on May 31, 2019. Anne was born in 1936 and raised in the Lenore district, the second daughter to Melville Robert and Dorothy Ellen Finlay. She attended the Hagyard, Bredelbain, and Lenore public schools. After finishing high school she attended Wheat City Business College in Brandon. On completion of college, she was immediately employed by Mr. Dave Reid, the owner of an insurance agency in the town of Virden. Anne was married to Budd (W.A.) Forsyth of the Bosshill district in 1965. They made their home together in Virden for 51 years. Most of those years were spent on Cemetery Road. In 2016, Mom and Dad moved from Virden, leaving many good friends and wonderful memories, relocating to Brandon where they started a new phase of life. It took some adjusting, but they made Brandon home in short order. A devoted mother, grandmother and wife, Anne was known for her hospitality, unselfishness, her baking, and her sassy ways. She always put others first, and made sure everyone was looked after. Left to mourn is her husband, Budd Forsyth, daughters Leanne (Carl) Teichrib and Dawn (Gary) Redlin, her 4 beloved grandchildren Scott (Demi) Teichrib, Austin Teichrib, Lauren (Jesse) Enns, and Caitlin Redlin, and sisters, Myrna Mitchell, Gail Hickson, Linda (Bernard) Crisp, and sister-in-law Betty Sumner. Also left are many nieces and nephews and their families, and dear friends. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the 3rd floor Palliative Care unit. Your job is a difficult one, but you did it with care, kindness, and went over-and-above what we could have possibly asked. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Annes name may do so to Youth For Christ Brandon.
