COULING: On August 27, 2019, Rae Mervin Couling, passed away at the age of 84. Rae was born June 17, 1935, in Wawanesa, MB to Edward and Anne (Stevenson) Couling. He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Eleanor (Clarke) Couling, sister (Beth), and son (Jim). Rae spent his early life in the Wawanesa area, but the majority of his life was spent living in Brandon, MB. Most of his career was with the Co-op Stockyards, but his biggest passion was his horses. Rae was well known in Brandon for frequenting his regular coffee shops, walking for miles around the city, though he would take the bus during the cold winter months! Rae spent the remaining 3 years of his life in the loving care of staff at Hillcrest Care Home and the help of his daughter Lavona (and Richard) Doubleday. He is survived by five daughters (Shawna, Lavona, Marcia, Sharon and Sandra), 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. A small service will be held for immediate family only.
