PICKLYK (Korniat): With deep regret, we announce the passing of Jean (Korniat) Picklyk on May 16, 2019 at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home in Winnipeg, at the age of 73. Jean was born in Brandon and grew up in the North End, attending David Livingston and Neelin High School. After her school years, she moved to Winnipeg where she met Maurice. They were married and had two sons, Todd and Troy, whom she adored. Her boys each went on to have a son of their own, Jean loved her grandsons Tyler and Bryce with all her heart. Jean was known for her kind and gentle nature, and her patience of a saint. She is lovingly remembered by Todd (Tyler) and Troy (Bryce); sisters Mary (Gord) Amos and Linda (Jack) Baker; as well as all of Jean’s extended family. Jean was predeceased by her husband Maurice on November 19, 2018; mother Katie and father Nick; sister Stella; brother Johnnie; and brother-in-law Marion. Jean and Maurice were both cremated and were buried together in Brandon where Jean was born and raised, at a private family interment on September 28, 2019. Another service and burial was held at an earlier date in Vita, MB where Maurice grew up.
