He enjoyed working with animals which led him to the Brandon Research Department, this is where he met a mentor and great friend in Bob McKay, and they worked together for the next twenty-one years. Bob ran his own business for many years known as Wedderburn Septic Service. This business also included porta potties to which he managed as long as he was able.
