NICKEL: It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Veronique Paulette Marie Nickel (née Letain), age 67 years, of Brandon, Manitoba on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre with her loved ones by her side. Veronique will be sadly missed by her husband Vernon, daughter Leanne (Marty) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, son Curtis (Wanita) of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and grandchildren Gabrielle, Keegan, Anika, Declan, David, Darian and Shaelyn; and special love from her four grand pups Chloe, Ryder, Neo and Aero. Brothers Danny (Debbie) and Marc (Sheila) and sister Lizette (Danny) also mourn her passing. Many nieces and nephews who were part of her life and shared the many joyful moments and experiences with her know she loved them all and she will be forever in their prayers. Veronique was predeceased by her loving parents Pauline and Simon, brothers Fernand and Jules and sister Jeannette. Prayers will be said at Memories Chapel, 330–18th Street North on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 327–4th Street on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. John Okosun, celebrant. A reception will follow in the St. Augustine’s Parish Square.
