Dawne COSGROVE

COSGROVE: Dawne Cosgrove passed away peacefully January 29th, 2020 at Bayside Personal Care Home at the age of 81 after a lengthy journey with dementia. Dawne was born March 8th, 1938 at RM of Glenwood, Souris, MB. She was the youngest daughter of Robert and Edith Logan, and younger sister to Vida Joy. Dawne attended Lily School in the RM of Glenwood and Souris high school. Dawne married Herbert Henry Cosgrove on June 29th, 1956. Their first born son, Robert Brent, was born June 6th, 1957 and their daughter, Joy-Lynne, was born February 1st, 1965. Herb and Dawne lived in the communities of Souris, Carnduff, Killarney, Brandon, and back to retire in their home on Killarney Lake in 1993. Dawne took great pride in making her house a home. Dawne truly lived her life to the fullest through the simple pleasures in life. She was an amazing home-maker. She always had a clean house, hot meals prepared, and love to share for everyone. Whether family or friends were stopping in for a visit or stuck around for a happy hour, there was always plenty of laughter and love in their home. The deck of their home was always a gathering place for neighbours and friends. Dawne loved to sit out on the deck looking out at the lake. Family was everything to Dawne. She loved the moments when everybody was gathered joking around, teasing each other, and making memories that we will all cherish forever. Sunday night suppers after a fun weekend on the lake became a tradition that we carry on to this day.Dawne was very proud of the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Even up until the end when her great-grandchildren would come to visit her, her face would light up with her beautiful smile. Dawne moved into Bayside Personal Care Home in 2015. She fought a hard battle and loved to tease those that took care of her in her final years where many of the staff at Bayside treated her like family. Dawne was predeceased by her husband Herb, parents Bob and Edie Logan, father and mother-in-law Bob and Mabel Cosgrove and sister Joy Logan. Left to mourn her passing are her son Brent (Patti), and daughter Joy-Lynne (Norm). Grandchildren; Dustin (Jenny), Brooke (Conner), Jaylee (Jerret), Logan (Brittney). Great-Grandchildren; Kaedyn, Kase, Rowyn and Swayzie. Sisters-in-law Donna Smith and Jessie Cosgrove as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with Dawne's wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
