POPLE: Winnifred Hazel Pople of Bayside Personal Care Home of Killarney, Manitoba passed away on January 31, 2020 at the age of 89. Hazel was born at home on the DuBedat farm SE 1-3-15W that is North West of Cartwright. Hazel was born on February 3, 1930. She attended the Hazeldell School. Despite limited time at school due to distance and family needs she was while educated in many aspects of life. Hazel raised six children during the hard times. She had a knack for knowing and remembering peoples birth date and anniversary date. Kind caring person that loved animals, birds. Enjoyed showing you her garden or some new plant she had started. Another talent learned was sewing likely out of necessity that branched into making patchwork quilts, family members and many others have their quilt that Hazel made just for them. Her favorite saying was Ill put the kettle on we will have a cup of tea. Survived by her son Charlie (Faye) Main, son David (Lea) Main, daughter Wanda Main, son Alvin (Betty) Main, son John Main. Plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and maybe more. Predeceased by her parents and all her siblings, her husband George Main April 22, 1969, daughter Margo Maciejko February 13, 1979. Hazels wish was for no funeral just a simple private burial in Killarney Cemetery. Friends if so desired may make a donation to your choice of an animal or pet shelter/rescue organization in her memory.
