BUAN: Ray George Buan passed away at the Westman Nursing Home at Virden on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the age of 80 years old. Ray leaves to mourn his brother Doug (Calgary) and sister Shirley (Killarney) as well numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Ray was born in Crystal City in 1939. He lived in Purves until 1954 when he moved to Reston with his parents. He received his education in Purves and Reston. After school he worked at the G.S Munro Solo Store, drove a school bus for the Fort La Bosse School Division until 1976. He changed jobs and started to work for Manitoba Pool Elevators. Starting In Reston, he then moved to Carey, Silver Plains, Sperling and then to Cypress River where he worked until he retired in July 31, 1997. During his off hours from work he liked to tinker with clocks, radios, TV's and later on the computer. He also liked saw sharpening and photography.
