NIXON: Eileen Ruth (Arnold) Nixon, nee: McCausland, June 21, 1956 - March 23, 2020. Eileen Ruth (Arnold) Nixon (nee: McCausland) age 63, passed away peacefully March 23, 2020 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre with her son and daughter by her side. Eileen was born June 21, 1956 in Killarney, Manitoba to Rowland and Ruth McCausland and was raised in Ninga, Manitoba on the family farm. She was the loving and devoted mother of Reginald (Tara) Arnold and Ruth (Kyle) Berry and a doting grandmother to Sylas and Chayce Arnold. She had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first granddaughter, the first child for daughter Ruth. Eileen treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. Eileen spent five happy years with her husband Brian Nixon. Although they faced many challenges, they supported one another and cherished their time together. They also shared a love for God. Eileen was a woman of faith and we take solace in the fact that she is with her Lord. She had strong values and carried those values with her throughout her life. Eileen, with her bright blue eyes and kind loving smile, will be treasured forever in our hearts. She had a memorable laugh that could often be heard after one of the many pranks she played. Eileen touched many lives throughout her career as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Many people credit her for demonstrating and teaching them about the kind of professional they themselves wanted to be. Eileen is survived by her husband Brian Nixon, son Reginald (Tara) Arnold and daughter Ruth (Kyle) Berry, grandchildren Sylas and Chayce Arnold, brother Russell (Victoria) McCausland, sister Donna Deceuninck, nephew Darius (Juliane) McCausland, nieces Pamela (Brian) Bergen, Holly (Patrick) Enns, and Michelle Deceuninck. She is also survived by her great aunt Louise McCausland and many cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved father Rowland and mother Ruth McCausland, brother Kenneth, great uncle Eugene and Alma McCausland, great uncle Merlyn McCausland, and great uncle Harold and Joyce McCausland. Due to the safety measures concerning COVID-19, a private service for the family was held at Wheatland Funeral Chapel, Killarney, Manitoba on March 28, 2020.
