WHEELER: Clair Harold, age 76 year, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence. Clair was born in Deloraine Hospital on April 18, 1943 to Arnott and Germaine Wheeler. He left home at the age of seventeen to go to Winnipeg to take his barber training; upon completion, he moved to Souris where in 1966, he married the love of his life Patricia Sparks. In 1975 they moved to Brandon where Clair worked for Safeway as a baker until his retirement in 1994. Clair and his son Jeff then bought a carpet and upholstery cleaning business which they named Wheelers. Clair enjoyed spending his day working with his son and he was very proud of both his children. Clair loved watching his grandchildren in various sports they played, he was their biggest fan. Driving his "pride and joy" motor home to camp even if it was to watch and cheer on his granddaughter Kelsey at a barrel racing event or rodeo where he enjoyed visiting with all the great people he met. But most of all, he loved to go flying with his son. Clair's wishes were that he pass at home with his family at his bedside. Thankfully he got his wish. Clair fought a battle with cancer since 2011, he never gave up hope until a week before his passing. Clair is survived by his loving wife Pat, daughter Julie (Terry), son Jeff (Taany), grandchildren Kelsey, Michalla, Reece and Sophie; brother Gordon (Emily), nephew Dwayne, mother Germaine, sister-in-law Marjorie and special friends Doug, Marie and Dennis and Joan and Ron. He was predeceased by nephew Reg, father Arnott and brother Murray. The family will cherish Clairs memory privately. Donations in memory of Clair may be made to Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com
