HUCULAK: With great sadness, we announce the passing of John Huculak at the Erickson Personal Care Home on May 11, 2020 at 90 years of age. He enjoyed farming, both grain and livestock. His hobbies included carpentry, woodworking, playing and listening to Ukrainian music. John loved nature, the outdoor scenery, along with all the animals that inhabited it. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile and his kind, gentle spirit. John is survived by brother, Walter Huculak of Sandy Lake and sisters: Olga Rudniski of Brandon, Mary Zatylny of Winnipeg, Frances (Metro) Koroscil of Winnipeg and Zenova (Lloyd) Shindruk of Winnipeg; sister-in-law, Grace Huculak of Sandy Lake. He also leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Fedora, brothers Nick and Bill; sisters, Pauline Huculak and Jean Moroz (Nick); brother-in-laws, Frank Rudniski, Nick Moroz, Joe Zatylny and sister-in-laws, Stella Huculak(Walter) and Anne Huculak (Nick), and nephew Leslie. Due to the recent Covid 19 Pandemic, a private family service will be held at a later date.
