REYNOLDS: It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Frederick "Brian" Donald Reynolds of Brandon MB, on Sunday May 24, 2020 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 69 years. Brian leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years Phyllis (nee Harvey), son Bryce and daughter-in-law Sarah of Brandon, sister Marjorie Rice of Brandon, brother-in-law Leo Gabrielle of Virden, MB as well as extended relatives and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Agnes Reynolds, brother Bob Reynolds and by sister Lillian Gabrielle. Brian was born in Minnedosa, MB on June 4, 1950. He was the youngest of four children and left home to marry his high school sweetheart, the love of his life Phyllis Harvey on June 26, 1971. Brian worked at Comfort Craftsman for 9 years before finally going out on his own in 1979 to start Brian’s Mechanical Services, where he and Phyllis worked together for over 40 years, before retiring in December 2014. Brian and Phyllis have one son, Bryce Cameron. Brian was so proud of the man Bryce grew up to be, and they shared so many times working on all sorts of projects in the shop for Bryce, building a house in town, one out on the Grand Valley Road and a shop to go with it. He was always happy to take on whatever project or job you brought his way and never complained. Brian was selfless, he would drop everything to help someone out, whether it was a pick up on the side of the road with a broken down bike, or going out in the heat and the cold to give someone air conditioning or warmth. Anyone who knows Brian has been on the receiving end of his generosity. Brian and Bryce spent many nights and weekends working on dirt bikes, going to motocross races all over the countryside. Quite often taking along Bryce’s friends, Brian enjoyed hanging out with “the guys”. Brian and Phyllis spent many years enjoying riding their motorcycles together and met so many lifelong friends down at the Sturgis Bike Rally. No matter how busy the summer was, they made it down to the rally every year for over 35 years. He was a very memorable person! Bryce and Sarah were married in Jamaica in 2009 and Brian was the only person on that beach in jeans! He never wore shorts and it was remarkable that Phyllis got him into sandals. Dad was an amazing and incredible man who will be missed terribly. He had so much knowledge and experience that he tried to share, but no one else could seem to keep up with him. His love and devotion for his family was evident to anyone who knew him and heard him speak about them with pride. The shoes he left will never be filled and he’s left a hole in our hearts with his passing. Now he’s at peace and with Brandy, Marcus, Sheba, Frodo and Sandy. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a family graveside service will take place at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Brandon, MB. A Celebration of Brian's life will take place at a later date. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Brian's memory to any local or regional animal charity, as the well being of pets was a meaningful purpose in Brian's life.On line condolences may be sent to the Reynolds family by visiting www.willmorchapel.com Jamieson's Funeral Services of Glenboro in care of arrangements. 204-827-2480.
