VALERIE MARYANN BOYECHKO

Valerie MaryAnn Boyechko passed away suddenly on Saturday, Apr. 18, 2020 at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Val will be sadly missed by her husband Lloyd Kulyk, brother Ken (Rita) Boyechko, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Anne and Bill Boyechko and both sets of grandparents.

Val was born Jan. 6, 1970 and grew up in Winnipeg for most of her life. She was born deaf, which was a huge challenge in life, but it never stopped her from her passion for Ukrainian music and dancing. Val started to attend every Ukrainian dance Gardenton had, which is where she met the love of her life, Lloyd, of 22 years, and hardly missed a dance since. She also had a love for animals, which she had a special bond with, her dogs Tasha and Sheila and cat Tiger. Sheila was very attached to Val and followed her everywhere she went. They were her pride and joy.

Val loved having parties, which she and Lloyd had many of. These were not just any kind of parties. There always had to be a live Ukrainian band, lots of Ukrainian food, and many dybozas. She also had a love for flowers, plastic or live, and her yard was always very decorative. She made cabbage rolls and pickles, which she shared with all her friends and family. Valerie will be deeply missed. Chrystos Voskres, Christ is risen.

There will be no service held at this time and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
