On Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, with his wife and children at his side, Ric let go and slipped away into peacefulness.
Ricky Edwin Plett was born on Mar. 2, 1960 in Whitemouth, MB to Edwin and Esther Plett.
He leaves behind his wife Jacquie of 34 years, son Joel, daughter Riesha Pattyn and son-in-law Stephane, and two precious grandsons, Treyce and Oakes.
He was predeceased by his father Edwin and nephew Christopher Buhay and daughter Chelsea.
He will be so missed by the most important person in his life, his mother Esther. Ric leaves to cherish his sisters Cindy Boucher, Brenda Buhay (Dave) and Sheila Klassen (Roger), his brother Doug (Grace) and brother-in-law Leonard Funk (Diane), as well as his nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that were all so important to him.
Cremation has taken place.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at Southland Church, Steinbach, MB.
In lieu of flowers, Ric would want your donations to go to ROC Eastman (Recreation Opportunities for Children).
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire community of support that they have received. Also, to Dr Curtis Krahn and the beautiful staff at the Steinbach Cancer Care Unit.
