WALTER HOSHOWSKI
Feb. 1, 1955 - Sept. 20, 2018

It is with tears of sorrow and broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Walter Micheal Hoshowski.

In 2010, he was diagnosed with cancer in which he continued to run the race and completed the last lap, at the age of 63, on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

He is survived by his wife Marianne (nee Bezditny), son Corey and wife Sheryl, along with mother Victoria, sister Linda (Warren), niece Erika and brother Garry (Debbie) and their families, and special auntie Helen Zulak.

Walter was predeceased by his son Matthew in 2004 and father Mike in 1983.

Walter and Marianne were married Aug. 31, 1974 and had two sons, Matthew and Corey. Spending quality time with his family was very important to him.

Walter worked at MTS for 38½ years, retiring in 2014.

His passions were God, his family, hunting, fishing, trapping, and many trips travelling to watch NASCAR across the U.S.

We, the family, would like to thank all of our family, friends and church family for all of the visits, support and prayers during this journey.

We would also like the thank all of the medical professionals along the way, especially the caring staff on second floor at Bethesda Regional Health Centre.

You will be greatly missed, but we take comfort knowing you are in the arms of Jesus!

The funeral service was held on Monday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. at Southland Church, Steinbach, MB. The interment followed at Sts Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Pansy, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Walter may be made to Southland Church Missions, re: Tupendane.

The pallbearers were Rick Bezditny, Casey Braun, Warren Klassen, Gerry Banman, Arnie Toews and Wes Friesen.
