Arthur also leaves behind his brother Gordon (Doris) Mensch and family Twyla and Tricia Mensch, sister-in-law Lois Mensch and family, sister-in-law Barb Toskovich and family. Arthur was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Alvin, sister Ruth, niece Joyce, and nephews David and Michael.

Arthur was born in Langenburg, SK and grew up on a mixed farm, which seeded his love of the outdoors. He was a tremendous gardener, which was evident by his cottage plentiful each year.

Arthur was active with the local Kinsmen Club and member of both the Portage Country Club and Deloraine Legion.

Arthur’s love of card playing was passed down from his father and they enjoyed many exciting cards games at the family home. He was an all-round sportsman with a passion for baseball, hockey, hunting, fishing and Canadian football. One of his favourite pastimes was keenly following his grandsons’ hockey careers.

Above all Arthur had a faith in God that he transferred to his entire family, being a member of the Steinbach St Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Arthur was a kind, generous and quick-witted person who would find the humour in all situations. A life well lived!!!

A private graveside service was held on Friday, July 20.
