Peter Gilbert Toews was born to Peter and Eva Toews on Nov. 19, 1929 in Steinbach, MB. He peacefully passed away at the Maplewood Manor in Steinbach, MB on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the age of 88.
Those left to cherish fond memories are his wife, Leona; and their children, Rob and Laurie, Steinbach, MB, Margaret and Rodney Wohlgemuth, Beausejour, MB, Ralph and Jennice, Steinbach, MB, and Peter and Jessica, Edmonton, AB; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald, Calgary, AB; two sisters-in-law, Leanna Wiebe, Steinbach, MB, and Kathleen and Louis Barkman, Neepawa, MB.
He was predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law, two brothers, three sisters, two sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Maplewood Manor for the loving care Dad received there.
The funeral will be held on Thursday ,July 26 at 2 p.m. at the Rosewood Church of God in Christ, two miles west of Ste Anne, MB on Hwy 210, with a viewing prior to the service.
