JOANNE NEUFELD

Joanne Neufeld (nee Harder) was born February 8, 1934 in New Bothwell, Manitoba. She passed away on November 26, 2014 at the age of 80, at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Manitoba. She is survived by: her husband of 58 years, John Neufeld, four children: Sharon Neufeld, Ken (Rhonda) Neufeld, Robert Neufeld, and Catherine (Brian) Karnes; six granddaughters, five grandsons, three great-grandsons, and 12 great-granddaughters. She is also survived by four brothers, Ernie (Elma) Harder, Fred Harder, Pete (Helen) Harder, Jack (Helen) Harder, brother-in-law Glen Fisher, and sister-in-law Alice Harder. She was pre-deceased by her parents Jacob and Helen Harder, parents-in-law Cornelius and Katherine Neufeld, brother Romeo Hardero, sister-in-law Maggie Hardero, brother Norman Harder, sister Esther Johnson, brother-in-law Wayne Johnson, sister Dale Fisher, and sister-in-law Louise Harder.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB. Viewing will be held at the chapel prior to the service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Koulak and the nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre, Dr. Krahn, Dr. Gumber, and the nurses at the Bethesda Hospital for their loving care. We also want to give our heartfelt appreciation to our family and friends for their love and support with a special thank you to Ernie and Elma Harder.

Mom, you were the queen of our hearts and when you knocked on Heaven’s door, they welcomed you with open arms. You were our home and we will miss you always until we meet again.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
