BERTON GLENN GOOSSEM
December 30, 1952- November 4, 2014

Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the Bethesda Regional Health Center in Steinbach, Manitoba, with his family by his side, Berton Glenn Goossen went to be with the Lord. He fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Berton was born to Frank and Margaret Goossen in Greenland, Manitoba.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Olga of 29 years, three brothers, two sisters and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Margaret and one brother Donald.

Berton retired from his employed at HMC (Hugh Munro Construction) in 2013 due to health issues.

The family wishes to express thanks, appreciation and gratitude for the prayers, support from friends, and also for the wonderful care from Doctors and staff at Steinbach Bethesda Cancer Care, Steinbach Bethesda Regional Health Center, and the Palliative Care staff. The family also wishes to express great gratitude to the SMD (Society for Manitobans with Disabilities) for the equipment that was made available through the Homecare program which made it possible for Berton to stay at home for months.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, (West Chapel), Steinbach, MB, with interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Loewen Blvd. Steinbach, Manitoba.
