It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the accidental death of Tim Waldner, age 46 years, on October 16, 2014 in the RM of Rhineland.
Tim was born November 17, 1967 in Winnipeg. His parents are Laura Waldner and the late Samual Waldner. He grew up in Tolstoi and attended school in Dominion City where he took his power mechanics. He went on to develop a career as a talented mechanic. He got married in 1993 and moved to Altona. He was active in the community and served as a volunteer member of the Altona Fire Department. He worked for West Park Motors, then Greenvalley which led him to Kazakhstan where he helped to establish a parts department. In 2009 he started his own business called Tim’s Repair which was very successful.
Tim was a devoted father, son, and friend. He enjoyed snowmobiling, motocross, and tinkering on anything with a motor. He was somewhat of a know it all, but he had such a kind heart he never said no to anyone in need.
He leaves behind his 2 children Elliot, and Abbie, his mother Laura Waldner, brother Melvin Waldner, sister Darlene Gosselin and her children Bree and Alain Gosselin. He also leaves behind many, many friends who will miss him greatly. He was predeceased by his father Samual Waldner in 1994.
The family would like to thank the first response team, Altona Hospital and everyone that has been there to support Abbie and Elliot during this hard time.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenridge United Church. Interment followed at the Greenridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Altona Fire Department.
