DARLENE CONNIE CAROL ELSE
ANDERSON

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Darlene Connie Carol Else Anderson on October 13, 2020.
Darlene leaves behind her husband Kurt; children, Quentin and Megan; grandson Grayson, and mother-in-law Artha, as well as her two brothers, Don and Wayne; and two sisters, Debbie and Diane. Also left to mourn are her brothers-in-law, Grant and Mark; and her sister-in-law Marleen, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Mary and father Pete.
Darlene spent the last 36 years of her life as a loving and devoted wife to her husband Kurt. They created their home in Libau, Manitoba, where they raised Quentin and Megan.
Darlene was cherished for her role as a wife and a mother, and felt most blessed when she became Grayson's grandma. They spent much of their time together, and became the best of friends.
She loved fishing and quad rides, and always reported back with how many deer she had seen on her rides and during her walks in the woods that she loved.
She was a strong woman who took pride in the things she accomplished, and all the people she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private interment will take place on Saturday, October 17 at St. James Anglican Church, Poplar Park, Manitoba.
Well-wishers are welcome to visit the family home on Saturday afternoon.

Condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk

  • I know you have heard much sympathy from people. Phil and our family add ours and our thoughts are with you all. Your mom and I were friends for years, when I was always in Libau. There are many great stories I can tell about us, and then maybe not. Darlene was always kind caring and always helping us girls out with problems or our love lives. She always made us laugh. She is the reason I am married to Phil, it all started out with a boat ride. I am sure you heard the story. Through the years you lose touch with your old friends, but just last year we would text now and then. l only wish we did it sooner. Darlene was also my maid of honor. I will remember her as a caring wonderful person that I wish I kept in touch with more. - Posted by: caroline ann chuhie (old libau freind) on: Oct 16, 2020
