KEIR: Roderick John passed away peacefully at the Russell Health Centre on Monday, October 19, 2020. Roderick was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on August 22, 1947. He married his best friend and love of his life, Isabella Murphy in 1968. In 1973, they moved to Canada where he worked in the field he loved as a Memorialist until his retirement in 2010. Rod leaves to mourn his wife of 52 years, Isabel; his three loving daughters Pamela (Tim), Nicola (Dale) and Jacqueline (Jason); grandchildren Kristyn (Randall), Matthew (Alicia), Dyson, Katryna, Samantha (Kendall), Renee (Dylan), Gannon and Miika; and his 11 great grandchildren, the pride and joy of his life. His heart was broken with the loss of Peyton, a great grandchild born sleeping in 2019. Rod was a quiet man whose friends will always have a smile or kind word when they think of him.
