MOLONEY: Phyllis Vera Moloney (White) was the 4th child born to Abram and Merinda White. Vera was predeceased by her parents, brothers John and Bill, sister Pearl and husband Mel. Vera went to school in Underhill, a country school between Elgin and Hartney. She continued her education to be a teacher. Her love of teaching took her to where she met the love of her life, Mel. They were married June 30th, 1951. They resided in Kaleida where they began their family. Ninga became their home in 1962, where they set down roots. Vera and Mel did everything side by side. Together they raised four children Mick, Don, Leanne and Patti. They were blessed with 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Vera had a love for painting, sewing, and above all horses. She spent many hours in her sewing room making outfits for her grandchildren to wear. Vera loved being a teacher and being a part of her students' journey. She often shared stories of her days teaching in the schoolhouses. Vera and Mel spent many hours travelling together. They both had a second love: following their grandchildren everywhere they went. They were familiar with every hockey rink, baseball diamond, school gym and rodeo arena across Manitoba. Vera and Mel made friends wherever they went. They were always together and truly a team. We will all miss her stories, smiles and hugs. Although we are all sad that Mom is no longer with us, she had a full life! Leaving her family and friends with a lot of great memories to cherish. We have comfort in knowing she is happily reunited with her true love, our Dad and at peace. Together again, they will have the best seat in the house to watch their grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports, grow and continue their legacy: Forever their number one fans!
