She leaves behind daughters, Patricia (John) Purvis, Joan Mackelson and Marjorie (Robert) Bratti; two grandchildren, Brent (Marlene) Johnson, Karin Purvis; and great- granddaughter Patricia Pearl White.
Mom and Dad moved to Grand Marais in the late 1940. Mom was very hard worker who operated the family farm while Dad worked for CN in Transcona coming home on weekends. In the early 1960s they moved to East St. Paul and then North Kildonan. Mom worked in the kitchen for Donwood Manor for several years.
The family wishes to thank all the staff including doctors and nurses at Concordia Place for their kindness and attention for the last few years.
Special thanks to Pearl and Eddie Banish, and Gloria McTavish.
There will be no service. Instead we ask that you simply take a moment and remember a shared occasion you had with our Mother. A private celebration will be held in 2021 when Covid-19 permits.

When growing up in Grand Marais, Marge and I were the best of friends, (joined at the hips). Violet was like a second mom to me. It’s too bad I didn’t keep in touch over the years, but I always had fond memories when I thought of her. RIP, Violet! - Posted by: Roberta Carriere (Friend ti family) on: Feb 13, 2021
