First our condolences to Martha, Lyle, Ralph and Alana from the Alfred Erickson Family. Alfred, David Erickson Senior, Rebecca McMasters, and Elisabeth Konzelman. As you know dad and Wesley were born just about 3 days apart. Dad was born January 11 1931. Dad always refers to his best friend growing up. Just a few moments ago my daughter-in-law Grace Erickson had received a digital slide device to take our ancient slide collection from storage and produce memories for the entire family. The third picture shared was my 1 year old picture on the Cook farm 1960. Barefooted Lyle, myself, Blond curly hair Alana and Ralph, we were all standing together in their yard. Precious memories. My grandfather Jalmar Erickson was the circuit riding minister in the Inner Lake Region from 1927. My father Alfred Erickson spent summers in "Grandma Cooks" home on the corner near Steeprock. As a fundamental Christian this was my father's first exposure to born again Christians who had believed in Act 2:38 who had repented of their sins, were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and had the Holy Spirit in her life. The life that Grandma Cook (Wesley's mother) portrayed before my father never left him. This friendship and bond has not left to this day. Dad loved his friend maybe even closer than his own brother my uncle Jalmar. After returning from New Zealand 1967, my father wanted to return to the region and 1969-1973 we visited each summer with Herm and Chrissy Cook, Donny and Marylyn Cook, Fred Cook, Dave Cook, Marge Stabner, Jimmy Olson, and all the Olson family from Steeprock, Heather Cook, Alfie and Ellen Cook, Margie Cook, Sharon Cook, Ruth Shabaga (her father was Scotty in Moosehorn) and of course Wesley & Martha, and the all the Konzelman's most all of us were touched & spiritually encouraged and edified in our daily walk with the Lord Jesus through brother William Branham's Tape Ministry. Chris Cook still continues that Tape Ministry till this day in Steeprock, only about 200 yards from Grandma Cooks homestead where Alfred Erickson and Wesley Cook's paths started in life for the past 89 years. As we see God fulfilling His Word exactly like He said today, we know that the resurrection and rapture will soon arrive... mother, father, brother and sister will soon appear and tell us the rapture is at hand. Oh what a glorious time. I want to say this publicly, to anyone reading this, if you who has lived a life that has been not pleasing to our Lord Jesus, confess your wrongs and simply ask Him to forgive you. Also ask Him to to fill you with His Holy Spirit and to lead you to all truth. Oh what a wonderful Life it is to live for Christ. God Bless you all, love from Dad to you all too. Ralph and Alana have not seen you in many many years been remembering each of you in prayer when I think of you. Till we meet at Jesus Feet. Lyle, Ralph, Alana Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I always looked forward visiting your Dad and Mom and hear many stories from when he was young. He was a great Uncle, I have pictures of him hauling me around when I was young. My memories of him are nothing but loving and enjoyable. God Bless and comfort your family at this time. Lyle, Ralph & Alana We were so sorry to here of your Dads passing, I always enjoyed when I got to see him and have a little visit. Because I grew up right across the road from Uncle Wes, I have many fond memories. Nothing was nicer for me as a six year old than to follow him around all day as he did his work. He was always so good to us, and we loved him. May the Lord Jesus Bless and comfort you at this time With Love Lloyd & Heather Cook - Posted by: Heather Cook (Neice) on: Nov 13, 2020
