MARLENE SHIRLEY HALCHUK
(nee PRICE)
December 19, 1949 - November 12, 2020
Marlene leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 52 years, John Halchuk; children, Craig (Olga), Carla (Dave) and Gwen; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one more on the way; siblings, Martha, Irene (Bill) and Margaret (Charlie); in-laws, Mary (Charles), Norman (Marilyn) and Lawrence (Brenda); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Mary Price; sister Alice and brother Lloyd.
Mom enjoyed making floral arrangements and wreaths as well as doing various other craft projects including tending to her flower beds. She liked collecting antiques and going to auction sales where she believed someone else's junk was her treasure. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren sharing her wisdom or providing an ear to listen. Mom will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by us all.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern and the Dauphin Hospital for their care of Mom and to the ambulance staff in Gypsumville for their compassion and support.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
