ALEXANDER CHARLES SKENE
Alex will be deeply missed by daughter Lisa Pearson (Paul and Chase); son Scott (Alexa Balzer); granddaughter Taylor; sister Anne Cherewyk (Ben); nieces and nephews. He will also be truly missed by his Headingley family including Hal, Darla and Jaylene; Larry and Sandy; Moe and Timmy who were all a huge part of his life.
Alex was predeceased by his parents Jean and Charles Skene; and sister Margaret Storey.
Alex loved his family and friends and would do anything for the people he cared about and in turn his family and friends returned that love.
In retirement, his favorite things to do were to get on his lawnmower and cut the grass, enjoy times with his family and friends, share in a "garage" beer with his Headingley family and play Kinsmen Bingo with a bucket of chicken.
A special thank you to Dr. Woelk, the palliative nurses and aides at the Boundary Trails Healthcare Centre in Winkler, Manitoba. They were so amazing and made sure that he was comfortable in his final days.
Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date when we are able to do so.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
Arrangements have been made by
Alterna Cremation and condolences can be made on Alex's tribute wall at

We will sure miss you, Pops!
