Sorry to hear this. I met Irv in 2009 when I started volunteering with the Wheat Kings. Always a friendly person and he loved hockey and being at the rink! Condolences to the family and many friends. - Posted by: JAMES MONTGOMERY (Friend ) on: Dec 20, 2020

Having grown up in Brandon I knew Irv for ever through sports! Irv was alway friendly and always had kind words for me and others! I remember like it was yesterday the explosion at the power plant that fortunately Irv survived! The world was a better place because of him! Rest In Peace my friend! - Posted by: Mel Montgomery (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2020

I want to send my very sincere condolences to the Powers family. Irv was a special buddy and friend during the years I worked with him at Manitoba Hydro. We shared many outrageous adventures together from fishing the Assiniboine River to attending hockey and baseball games, curling events on and on. There were a few times Audrey was less than pleased with us over the crazy things we did together. Irv will be remembered in the Brandon and Manitoba sporting community for years to come. Farewell dear friend you were special to me. - Posted by: Errol Bredin (A friend) on: Dec 07, 2020
