SAUNDERS: Dennis Wayne Saunders, father of Dan (Marla) and Chris (Denise), grandpa of Dawson, Dezerae, Haley, Ryker and Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Dennis was born in Deloraine, MB on February 26, 1947 to John and Dorothy Saunders. He loved to share stories of growing up about how much he enjoyed time at the farm, the real food, and heating beans in a can on the tractor to eat for lunch. Dennis met his wife Bonnie in Brandon. They enjoyed many years together, stock car racing, raising different poultry and small animals, even had a pet turkey named Turk that chased everyone but him. Dennis and Bonnie enjoyed their trips to Las Vegas, their cabin at Oak Lake, and camping in Wawanesa and Souris. Dennis enjoyed his life with his wife, boys, and later his grandchildren on their acreage South East of Brandon. There were many great memories made there with family and friends, especially Norm and Edith Baker and their children. Dennis lost his wife in 2015, and after his health declined enough to be in a care home he moved to Rideau Park Personal Care Home there he was provided great care, with exceptional support from Kerri. Dennis leaves behind his boys and their families, his siblings, Fran (Rick), Vivian, Greg (Lori) and Bob, his mother-in-law, Noreen McInnes and his many loving and caring brother and sisters in law and families. A private family graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens at a later date.
