November 16, 1950 - December 3, 2020
She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Jean, and by her brother Wayne.
She will be missed by her husband Danny; daughter Erin (Mark); her kitty Sweeney; brother Garry (Penny), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Ardith was born in Winnipeg. She loved her two big brothers, Elvis, the Beatles, hanging out with her girlfriends, and causing as much trouble as possible for the nuns and lay teachers at St Mary's Cathedral School, and then later on at St Mary's Academy. She worked from her teen years through her 40s at various different Salisbury House locations, which is where she met her husband and partner, Danny. She enjoyed shopping, working in her garden, shopping, going to the movies, shopping, annual trips to Florida, shopping, and above all, being with her family, which included her beloved kitties: Pitou, Frosty and Itchy, who are no doubt keeping her company at this very moment.
She will be remembered for her sense of humour, the many shenanigans she instigated, the pride she took in her home and family, and her commitment to sartorial style.
We hope that you have found some measure of peace and are finally at rest.
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon your fields,
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Cremation has taken place and a service will take place at a later date when we can all be together.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society in Ardith's name.
