Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKESS: We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Melissa Dawn on December 11, 2020 at age 35 years. It's with a very heavy heart that this loving mother to Jocelyn and Mason leaves us far too soon to join the angels in heaven. Melissa was born on November 7, 1985 and grew up in Winnipeg, where she attended John Pritchard Elementary School and graduated from Kildonan East Collegiate. As a child Melissa was a competitive gymnast, she enjoyed camping, playing dress-up with her sister and summer trips to BC to visit family. Melissa was extremely proud when she completed her LPN training at ACC in 2016. Melissa appreciated the love and support that Brent and Sandra provided through the years. When you think of Melissa, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. She leaves to mourn her partner, Rori McNiven, their two beautiful children, Jocelyn and Mason; her sister, Jenn Kess (Jason Smith) and baby nephew, August; her parents, Janice and Chris Kess; her in-laws, Brent and Sandra Pilling, Neil and Lucie McNiven, sisters-in-law Tessa McNiven, Corinne Mashour (Ahmed), brothers-in-law Justin Pilling (Melissa), Kyle and Aidan McNiven, Gramma Edith Rice along with many family and friends. A celebration of Melissa's life will be held at a later date.

Love is forever,
love is undefined,
it is both the highest level
of joy and the deepest amount of pain.
A life with it is
everything
to love,
truly love, is divine and far outweighs the pain
of losing a loved one.
To Melissa, my soulmate,
my beautiful, my caring,
my everything,
you will always be with us,
in our hearts, in my soul. Love you now and forever
xoxo
Rori
