WIELGOSZ: Edward "Eddy" John Wielgosz passed away at the "ripe old age" of 83 on the 7th of December 2020. He was pre-deceased by the love of his life; Glenda Wielgosz, nee Graham, and survived by his four children; Diane, Troy, Twyla, and Travis. He was the youngest of 8 children and predeceased by sisters; Josephine Gregoire, Jean Ryan, Bernice Browett and brothers; Joey, Walter Jr., and Charlie. He is survived by his older brother Bernie. Dad lived a life of adventure that movies are made of! He was spontaneous in nature, like the time he told his family "we're moving to Kelowna, I can't stand another Manitoba Winter!" only having heard of this beautiful place from a friend. Growing up with Dad, we never knew what he would say that would embarrass, shock or leave us in stitches laughing. Some of his favorite one-liners were, "After me, you come first!" and "Marry for money, love will come later."Dad would entertain his 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with tales of his athletic prowess like when he played the accordion while waterskiing. His charismatic and likable personality drew people to him and allowed him to get away with things that most couldn't. Dad was a painter by trade and was such a natural he made it look easy and was always proud of a job well done. He spent many years in and around Brandon painting homes and businesses. He continued to help his kids and grandkids with projects right up until this summer in 2020. In October of 1987 he committed his life to Christ and immediately began to change the way he lived. Although his life was far from perfect, he continued to strive to become a better person through his faith. Romans 3:23-24. We know that dad was looking forward to seeing mom and playing crib once again. A small family celebration of life will be held in Kelowna, BC on the of April, 24th 2021 in honor of our dad's 84th birthday on April 27th.
