My condolences to the entire family especially Giselle and Yvette. Your family holds a very special place in my heart. Although our families haven’t seen each other for decades the memories are still very strong. This is especially true at this time of year, that have turned into our own family traditions, thanks to your family. Hanging up a very special KRAB Island Christmas decoration, throwing buns to all four different directions and making that first call on New Years. I was blessed to be with Jan and family on their first trip back to Slovakia and experience that emotional time. Some of my fondest memories of Jan are roasting chunks of pork belly on a stick over the fire and of course shots of borovicka. And his story about when he made a special mail order purchase and ordered twelve gross packages! He swore to me then that he used them all, with a wink, a giggle and a proud smile. Tonight I’ll sit in front of the fire, pour a shot to the rim and raise a glass or two for Jan. Cheers to Jan. From Ray Mills - Posted by: Ray Mills (Friend of the family ) on: Dec 19, 2020
