She leaves to mourn her husband Bill Norton; her son Will Norton; her brother Vincent Murray; her sister Caroline Duheme; nephew Graydon Dressel (Sarah); niece Amy McGregor (Darcy); and great-nephew and nieces, Emmet, Isabel, Ruby and Jordayn.
Colleen was predeceased by her father Vincent Murray; her mother Amy Murray; and by her baby sister at birth.
Colleen was born in Winnipeg on February 23, 1951. As a family, the Murrays moved to several places in the US and Canada. Colleen went to many schools and made friends everywhere she went. She married Bill in 1973, and settled in Starbuck, MB shortly after.
Colleen worked at Kleysen's for several years. She moved on to Coghlan's where she worked as an accounts/credit manager from 1982 to 2015. During her retirement she worked part time at MREA. Colleen was incredibly intelligent and loved working with numbers and people. Colleen loved to travel, and was able to go to many places around the world, including: England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Italy and Spain.
She was an active member of the United Church in Starbuck, serving on the Board and singing in the choir. Colleen was a great supporter of her community and the people in it.
Colleen loved creating art, in many different forms. She loved to sew, paint, and always had a new project in mind. She spent much of her time with family, supporting them in her quiet and steady way, listening and sharing her wisdom.
Colleen was loved beyond measure. She brought so much joy and love to those around her. She will be sorely missed.
Due to Covid restrictions, a service will be held at a later date.
