Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • The last time I saw my uncle Carl was back in 2009, that's when he found out he was a great uncle. I was really looking forward to seeing him this summer & him meeting his great niece & nephew. You were an amazing uncle when I was a kid & I'll miss you more than ever! Continue to rest easy Uncle Carl, say hi to uncle Albert, Oma & Opa for me, love you forever. - Posted by: Amanda Slinger (Niece) on: Jul 03, 2021

  • I grew up with Carl since we were 5 years old. Carl was a man a few words, but would open up around close friends. Carl would be at a party and would end up cleaning up the mess people left after the party, he was a caring person. I remember when we were around 18 years old Carl was into body building and we would call him Arnold. We'll miss you my friend, may you rest in peace. We'll have a drink around the fire this summer in your memory. My condolences to the Ewert Family. - Posted by: Jamie Zalitach (Friend) on: Feb 10, 2021

  • Have known Carl since elementary school. Had many laughs through out the years, and he was a very good friend. Hard to believe he is gone, he will be greatly missed! My condolences to the Ewert family. - Posted by: David McDonald (Longtime Friend) on: Jan 17, 2021

  • I really enjoyed working with Carl and am very sad to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. - Posted by: David Boyd (Coworker ) on: Jan 17, 2021

  • Gone way to soon. Carl will be missed at Canada Post in the Runouts section. As quiet as he seemed & in the short time I worked with him, he opened up about different topics in which we shared an interest. He was looking forward to his retirement as well as owning another motorcycle. Rest In Peace Carl - Posted by: Cara Klatt (Co-worker) on: Jan 16, 2021

  • Carl was a very hard working kind man. Never a cross word was spoken by him or about him. Very quiet, but with a smile. You will be missed in runouts Carl. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: John Shaw (Co- worker) on: Jan 15, 2021

  • Carl was the youngest of 5 children from Fred and Irmgard (nee Steginus) he was born September 24th, 1968. Carl was a selfless, caring person. When there were job to be done, Carl stepped up to the plate and dealt with it. Even his father called him a Saint when his mother passed away in 2004. He died too early to enjoy his life, because God’s plan was different than ours. Bon voyage my nephew until we meet again! - Posted by: Giselgard Nickel (Aunt(Tante)) on: Jan 14, 2021

  • Known Carl since we were 18 and was always the mellow guy in our group of friends. I have nothing but fond memories of playing hockey and baseball with him. He has that fun loving laugh that makes you smile or laugh right along with him. It is hard to sum up a lifetime of friendship in a few sentences, all I can say is that I am fortunate to call him a friend and will miss him. - Posted by: Darrin Dudzinski (friend) on: Jan 13, 2021

  • Carl was a meek person. He was well known for his easy going personality. Carl worked hard and took pride in the things he had accomplished in his life. His dream was to travel and see the world after he retired. Sadly his life here on earth was cut short. Carl was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him. - Posted by: Dieter Nickel (Cousin) on: Jan 13, 2021

  • I was saddened to hear about Carl’s passing - Carl kept to himself at work for the most part but didn’t mind a laugh either - a decent man gone way too soon ... - Posted by: Jim Malloy (former co-worker) on: Jan 13, 2021
