ROSE MARIE TREMBLAY
(née THORIMBERT)
November 11, 1929 - January 9, 2021

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of mom, memère, grand-memère and grand-grand-memère on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Actionmarguerite St. Vital (Foyer Valade), at the age of 91 years.
Rose is survived by her two sons, Denis (Mariette) and Marc (Carol); three grandsons, Robert (Stacy), Sean and Tyler; three granddaughters, Tina (Dean), Chantelle (Adam) and Tia (Shawn); ten great-grandchildren, Alexandre, Akaisha, Xavier, Judah, Noah, Leo, Ryan, Brittany, Brooklyn and Paris; great-great-granddaughter Amira; sisters, Jeanne (Ray), Thérèse and Cecile (Ed); daughter-in-law Linda, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Lucienne, her loving husband Léo, her daughter Lise Marie, and son Jean-Paul.
Rose adored all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. She hugged them to death every time she saw them, they will never forget her tight grip. Rose was an active member of Catholic Women's League in Fort Frances, Ontario for over 50 years. She was a homemaker all the way, her kitchen was her castle.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at the Foyer Valade Personal Care Home, 2nd Floor, her physician Dr. Grabowski, and especially her nurse, Renée for their care and support in particular during the final stages of Mom's life.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Rose's life will be held at a later date.

  • I was so very sorry to hear of Rose's passing. I had known her and Leo ever since they moved to Winnipeg and had many good times with them both. Ever since Leo's passing Lise Marie and I had many enjoyable outings with Rose and I always looked forward to our times together, especially our annual Christmas get-togethers. I take comfort in the fact that she is now with Leo, Lise Marie and Jean Paul once again. My deepest condolences go out to her family at this time. - Posted by: Lorraine Soshycki (Friend) on: Jan 16, 2021
