NORMAN TRAVERSE SR.
March 5, 1944 - January 14, 2021

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, the wife of Norman Traverse Sr. announces the passing, after a battle with cancer, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at approximately 5:10 a.m., at the Riverview Hospital, with his wife by his side, at the age of 76 years.
Norman leaves to be cherished by his wife of 53 years, Winnie Traverse, son Norman Traverse Jr., his sons, Sage, Kaeden, McKae (mother of grandchildren Kim Ledingham), Delaney Sinclair, Saria, great-grandchildren, Prestynn, Mary Ella, Katherine Shorting friend of Norman Jr.
Dad is also survived by children he raised on his own along with his wife Winnie, Jaqueline Woodhouse, Angel Woodhouse, Desi Catcheway, Rio Woodhouse, Myron Thompson, his pride and joy Isaac whom he loved unconditionally, Natalie (Steve) Reeves, twins Tiger and Emrald, along with special friend Elias Bushie, Skyler Agecoutay, Mr and Mrs Hughie Sumner. Dad also raised a son Timothy Woodhouse who passed away September 16, 2007 - he never fully recovered from the loss of Tim.
Wake and viewing service will take place on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Deliverance Centre, 1831 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2021 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, Ashern, Manitoba with Reverend Francis Roulette and Earl Dano officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Helen's Anglican Cemetery, Fairford, Manitoba.
On behalf of the late Norman and wife Winnie we would like to send our thanks and generosity, compassion to all who came from far and near to share their love and prayers during this difficult time. We appreciate your love. Dad's legacy will continue to grow, but will truly be missed - always and forever.
