Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFITZSIMMONS: Ivan Roy Fitzsimmons, August 30, 1933-December 21, 2020. With sadness the family announces the passing of Ivan at the Health Sciences Center with his family in attendance. Ivan was born in Harte, Manitoba, the eldest of five children born to Roy and Nell Fitzsimmons. In 1957 he married the love of his life, Caroline Arlene Rusk in Amaranth, Manitoba. Together they raised six children, one daughter Ellen (Suzie) and five sons Robert, Bill, Don, Doug and Dallas. Their children blessed them with 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Ivan is predeceased by his parents, daughter Ellen (Suzie), brother Ron, sister Irene, nephew Marty. Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 63 years, Caroline; his five sons, their spouses and children, his sister Shirley McLeod and sister Phyllis, numerous nephews and nieces. As per Ivan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held at at later date.
