SARA HELEN BONNELL

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sarah Helen Bonnell on January 4, 2021, in Edmonton, AB, due to Covid complications.
Sara is survived by her brother, Robert Rauhaus; three children, Lissa Bonnell Davies (Daryl), Lee Bonnell (Sherri), Ryan Bonnell (Nancie), and many grandchildren.
A bright force of life, Sara was born Helen Rauhaus in Regina on May 4, 1933. Her family moved to Winnipeg, where she met her husband, John Bonnell. After marriage, she raised her three children and supported her husband's many business ventures. Later, Sara and John would follow two of their children to Edmonton, where they settled for the rest of their lives.
Sara had an immense love of travel. She was a great dancer, and even in her last years at a seniors residence, was always up for "Pub Night", where she could listen to good music and persuade a handsome fella to stand up with her. A proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she filled her apartment with pictures of her family, and liked nothing more than to sit down with them for a good cup of coffee and a chat.
She will be missed immensely, but in the words of Sara herself, she's "died and gone to heaven". We love you Mamma.
