It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dan Joseph Romaniuk at his home in Lorette, Manitoba.
Dan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne (nee Landry); son Glenn Romaniuk (Marcia) and their children, Avry and Neve; daughter Tracy Wallace (Kelly) and their children, Ethan, Owen and Ainsley; sister Sophie Burak; brothers, Bill and Don Romaniuk (Adeline); in-laws, Roland Landry (Angie), Philippe Landry (Josie), Monique DelGallo (Greg), Annette and Luc Landry; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Joseph and Ann Romaniuk; sister-in-law Helen Romaniuk; brother-in-law Bohden Burak; and father and mother-in-law Arthur and Eugenie Landry.
Dan was born in Lorette, Manitoba and lived there his entire life. Dan enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee daily at the local restaurant. At coffee, that is where he enjoyed teasing the staff and his friends.
Dan was a hard-working person that took great pride in his work. He was fortunate to have many skills: manufacturing, farming and carpentry and his generosity of willing to help others with their projects. We were amazed how, at his age, he was interested in learning about the latest technology, this interest developed from always wanting to know the way things work.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, adored all his grandkids by spending quality time and making great memories with all of them.
We love you dearly and will always carry with us all the great memories we made together. Until we meet again.
In view of the pandemic restrictions, a private funeral will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
