LAWSON: Donna Joyce Lawson (née Leeson) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 78 in Brandon, Manitoba. Donna was born August 21, 1942 in Brandon and spent her early years on the farm in the Kirkham Bridge area. After the death of her father Earl in 1954, Donna and her mom Edith moved their house and belongings to Dennis Street in Brandon. It was here, at the age of 16, she met her husband of 60 years Bill. During their marriage they lived in The Pas, Russell, Brandon, Winnipeg, Clear Lake, and Alexander to be closer to family then finally to Riverheights Terrace in Brandon. In each place they lived, Donna made many lifelong friends through volunteering, participation, and enjoyment of golf, curling and bridge. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband William (Bill) Lawson, daughter Laurie (Jeff) Owens, and son Jeff Lawson; grandchildren Kristy (Tom) Hare, Billy (Erin) Martens, Darren (Meghan Shewfelt) DeKezel, and Bryson (Kerstin Andries) Owens; and 3 special great granddaughters Shirley and Florence Martens and Lawson Hare; and sister-in-law Gail and her husband Steve Skibo and their family.
