CHRISTOPHER GEORGE ROTHWELL
November 14, 1959 - February 5, 2021
Chris will always be remembered as a unique personality with an enormous heart and a generous soul, who could argue any topic from every viewpoint. He was an incredible athlete and a gifted musician and spent most of his life at the arena or on the stage.
Chris moved to Yellowknife NWT in the early 80s to work at Northwest Tel. It was in Yellowknife that he truly found his "home".
He loved being a member of the "Rec Hall Raiders" hockey team and playing in various bands over the years, and in these, formed many friendships that lasted his lifetime.
After a long career at Northwest Tel., Chris retired and moved back to Crystal City, where he spent his last two years, but his heart never really left the "North".
Chris will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Rennie (Carmel) Tom, Tim, Scott (Jan) his sister Laurel ((Mark), sister-in -law Sandra, his nieces and nephews, extended family and many, many friends that were so very important to him.
Chris was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Eraine, and his brother Craig.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Chris may be made to the Crystal City Community Benevolent Association Inc. (Crystal City Arena, in the memo line) Box 462 Crystal City, MB R0K 0N0 or CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
