VAGELI ANGELO NIKITAS
March 15, 1923 - February 24, 2021
Vageli was born in Lagathia, Greece on March 15, 1923. When he was 12 years old he lost his parents and went to Skoura to work as a bricklayer and to be among other family members. Vageli married Dina on February 5, 1948 and then started a family together. In 1966 Vageli came to Canada with his family for a better life. He worked several odd jobs including a dishwasher at Silver Heights Restaurant and then settled at Motorcoach Industries where he worked for over 20 years and retired from in 1988.
Vageli will be greatly missed by his children, Parry (Eleni), Helen (Angelo) and Angie (Steve); his grandchildren, Anna (Joe), Angelo (Karolina), Stella (Giorgo), John (Georgia), Jennifer (Graham), Kevin (Alyssa) and Katelyn (Chris); his great-grandchildren, Valentina, Franka, Luke, Adeline and Everleigh; and his sister-in-law Paraskevi, along with numerous nieces, nephews, close family and friends in Greece, Canada and the United States. Vageli was predeceased by his wife Konstantina, his granddaughter Tina, parents, Paraskevas and Eleni, and his siblings, Anastasios and Stavroula.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at West Park Manor who provided Vageli with kindness and compassion for the three years he was there and the support they showed.
