O'HARA: Deborah Mary O'Hara (Zink), of Brandon MB, passed away with family by her side at Brandon Regional Health Centre on March 11, 2021 at the age of 59 years. Born in Brandon, MB to William Zink and Dorothy Cochrane (Roddick), Debbie also spent part of her childhood in Gimli, MB where she graduated high school and met her husband, Patrick. The two went on vacation to see family in Brandon, and decided to stay and start a family of their own. Debbie was a creator, she could make what was needed out of whatever was at hand. An avid reader, she also liked writing short poems for loved ones, and had the most impeccable and beautiful handwriting. She was known for her magnetic butterflies, slippers, dishcloths, Christmas items and winter gear that she donated to those in need. She was a Winnipeg Jets fan and enjoyed watching their games since their return to Manitoba. Debbie was very involved in her sons' early education and activities, creating learning opportunities and fundraising events at their school around initiatives they were interested in. Most notably, Debbie treasured family and friends and keeping up to date with everyone's activities. She was the cornerstone of keeping her family connected. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years Patrick, sons Ryan (Justin) and Matthew (Teri), mother Dorothy, siblings Lee-Ann, Edward (Irene) and Yvonne (Conrad), and many friends and family. She was predeceased by her father William Zink, and loving stepfather William ("Pedro"/"Wild Bill") Cochrane. No service to be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider what you can do or give to support less fortunate individuals in your community.
